Choosing Nozzle Size
Choosing The Right Nozzle For Your Machine
When picking out the nozzle for your pressure washing machine it is important to use the correct sizing so you do not wear out the pump and motor, causing unnecessary wear and tear to your machine.
The first 2 numbers for your nozzle will determine the width of the fan of spray coming out of your wand.
00 = 0° – pin point, single stream, Red Tip QC Nozzle
15 = 15° – tight fan spray, Yellow Tip QC Nozzle
25 = 25° – regular fan spray, Green Tip QC Nozzle
40 = 40° – widest fan spray, White tip QC Nozzle
Soap = only one size, large orifice allowing for low pressure – Black QC Nozzle
The last 3 numbers of your nozzle are specific to the PSI and GPM of your machine and have to do with the size of the orifice on the tip, which controls pressure.
Following the chart below for referencing you can find what nozzle you will need for your machine.
For example if you wanted to get a 0° nozzle, on a machine with 1500 PSI and 4.0 GPM it will need a 6.5 orifice and you would be looking for a 00065 Nozzle. If you wanted a 25° nozzle for a machine with 5000 PSI at 2.5 GPM which needs a 2.0 orifice, you would be looking for a 25020 Nozzle.
